Food insecurity is a major issue. Nearly 20% of people right here in Whitman County are struggling to find their next meal. But you can make a difference!
Join us on MLK Day, January 16th, from noon to 6pm at local grocery stores to collect donations for local food pantries. Give as little as 2 hours of your time to hang out with fellow students and support those in need.
All that is required is letting people know about the food drive and what items are needed, then collecting any donations from generous community members, and you can make a huge difference.
All donations will be divided between Community action Center's Food Pantry, and our very own Cougar Food Pantry. Please wear warm clothing and be prepared to stand and lift up to 10 lbs. Accommodations can be made if needed.
