I really enjoyed this volunteering for this semester. I liked how blazer kitchen is on UABs campus and easy to find. I liked how anyone can come as long as they have a one card or are referred by UAB. I think the best part is there is always something to do even if they are not shoppers there for the day. You can work on small task and help restock things. Nothing was challenging when volunteering except if shoppers cannot understand you when helping them. My key takeaway from this day was learning how you can help without actually helping people in person. We did this by restocking the kitchen so its ready for shoppers.
